"Howie", as he preferred to be called, was a very unique doctor inn that he LISTENED to his patients. I had the privilege of being under his care for many years & he never belittled me for my search for the appropriate health care for my self & my sons...regardless of how far from the AMA's standards I often was. He was always a friend as well as a professional. Unfortunately I was never able to find another understanding & compassionate Allopathic Physician after I left the area. I'm sure his family & friends will miss that enigmatic shy smile & gentle kindness he generously gave to all he came in contact with.2
