Obituary for Kenneth F. Patterson

Kenneth F. Patterson, 69, passed away surrounded by his family on July 29, 2016. He was born on August 6th, 1946 in Ogdensburg, NY. Ken was a resident of Chittenango for over 40 years. He graduated from OFA and attended SUNY Plattsburgh then received his MBA from LeMoyne College.
Ken taught physics at Chittenango High School, retired from Niagara Mohawk in 2001 and most recently retired from SUNY Morrisville as a professor of IT. He proudly served 23 years in the United States Navy, was a Vietnam Veteran and retired as a Commander with Naval Intelligence.
Ken enjoyed spending time with his family, especially making memories with his grandchildren on the St. Lawrence River. He also enjoyed golfing with friends, reminiscing with his Navy buddies and was an avid Syracuse Orange fan.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Delduchetto) Patterson, of 47 years and his four children: Andrew (Kary), Jeremy (Amy), Mary Anne Lampert (Doug), Meghan Titus (Scott); 9 grandchildren, his sister Anne Marie Patterson, brother Rev. Terry Patterson and brother James Patterson.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 5th at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Chittenango, NY.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Ken to support AML cancer research at PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or online at www.dana-farber.org/gift.
