Obituary for Charles K. Gross

Charles K.  Gross
Charles K. Gross, 81, of Kirkville passed on February 13, 2018. He was the owner and president of Chuck’s Auto Body, Inc. in Kirkville, NY. Prior to owning his own business, he worked for several body shops. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957.

Chuck owned a house on Black Lake in Hammond, NY. He enjoyed restoring his 1954 Mercury and rode and built Harley Davidson motorcycles for many years.

He had a great compassion for animals, he has had several over the years, currently two dogs, “Patsy” and “Chloe” and a cat, “Sarah”.

He is survived by three daughters, Susan (Lew) Hepp, Sherri Kaufman and Stacy Palmer; grandchildren, Shauna (Greg) Hageman, Bethany Kaufman, Lucas (Kelsey) Kaufman and Shaylynn Palmer; nieces and cousins; and step-mother, Mary Metz.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles O. Gross and Leora E. Metz; step-father, Frank Metz; wife, Sue Gross (Nov. 1998); brother, Ronald Gross (Dec. 2017) and niece, Cindy Gross Caruso.

Private service and burial was in Kirkville Cemetery.
