Obituary for Richard F. Lendy

Richard F. “Dick” Lendy, 84, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully after a brief illness. He was born in Syracuse and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Dick retired from the New York State Police and was a member of the Eastwood Rotary. A devoted family man; he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathleen King Lendy; son, Bryan (Lori) Lendy of Jamesville; daughter, Alison (Shane Langlois) Neuser of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Julia Lendy, Conor Neuser and Aidan Neuser; sister, Irene Betzel; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. Burial with military honors will be at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
