Obituary for Desadiro A. Sidello

Desadiro A. “Des” Sidello, 91, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Born in Syracuse, he was the son of the late Michael and Concetta Sidello. He graduated from Vocational High School and studied commercial art at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He served in the Pacific with the Navy during WWII. He owned Des Sidello Graphic Design business. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. Desadiro had an appreciation for the fine arts and enjoyed time with his family. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Golf and Bowling leagues for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fay Simonetta Sidello; children, Sharon (Duane) Mahon, Michele Sidello and Michael Sidello; grandchildren, Carlena Sidello and Reilly Mahon; sister, Mary Monforte; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Doodigan.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The services will begin at 9:15 am Monday at the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.
